Correspondence Uncover Jeffrey Epstein and former Trump strategist Connection

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, visited the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters slowed down my talk don't think I can catch the plane we r enroute to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an amazing helper".

These messages were published on this week alongside over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets has been able to confirm his identity by cross-referencing the dates, events, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a plane from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the chat, and commends their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, declined to comment on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of Trump's closest advisers in the run up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a documentary about Epstein before his passing and reportedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his podcast earlier this year, he said: "We're going to publish the film, the multi-part documentary, next year - at the start of next year."

But the newly released materials suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the disgraced financier at times appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A short time prior to the conversation in which Epstein seemed to arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are pretty good assistant", to which Epstein replied "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "AD" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I will ensure you're taken care of."

British Affairs Discussed in Messages

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in 2018.

On the day of his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit thing this morning with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to Theresa May, the embattled British leader at the period, he continued: "They are attempting to proceed. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think staying as long as you can in the UK. Best-- so people see the commitment of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein inquired: "Will Theresa May survive". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely BUT the people here have no balls" and noted "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to take charge".

Theresa May was eventually toppled in 2019 after surviving multiple attempts of lack of support in late 2018.

A representative for the political party told the BBC: "Nigel Farage has not been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting occurred.

The US House of Representatives will vote soon on whether the justice department should release all its records related to its probe into Epstein, who passed away in prison in that year.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was renewed recently after the release of more than 20,000 documents from his archives.

Some of those mentioned Trump, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing. The president was a friend of Epstein's for years, but claims they fell out in the early 2000s, a couple of years prior to Epstein was initially charged.
